The One after Knoebels

We're back from our weekend trip to Knoebels! We had a fantastical time. Some of my Airstream pals were there.

And then some of papa's friends from college came to join us for the day. We had a great time visiting with them!

Oh my dogness, mom and papa were so proud of how well we behaved! Phoenix barked a little now and then but hardly at all but the most exciting news was that I was BRAVE. I even let some of the two leggers pet me. This is exciting because I'm awfully shy. Mom keeps saying I'm making good progress and starting to feel more comfortable around people. Sounds like nothing to some of you, including my attention-hog sister Cali, but it's a big deal for me.

To check out more pictures from our weekend, including a cameo from some DWB impersonators, namely Mayzie and a Baby Benny, click on the paper eating pig below!

I'm happy to be home though. Now it's time to start catching up on your bloggies!! Sorry I fell behind...

  4. I don't know if you are aware of this or not but I am a huge fan of Airstream trailers and I would probably need to be resusicated while viewing them all with you! Did you know that one of the B-52's singers has a hotel and the prized "room" is an Airstream? Oh, the novelty o it all! But it wouldn't be a big deal to you because you have an Airstream and I am terribly jealous of that! HeeHee!

  5. Okay, I couldn't resist sending you the link to Kate's Lazy Meadow and here it is in all it's Airstream glory: http://www.lazymeadow.com/index.php?page=airstream-trailers
Maybe you need to ask your parents if they'd like to open up a hotel and it could be named "The One With The Airstream"....what do you think? The name coordinates with your blog which ties into you, etc!!!!

  8. Hi Zona - you sure take some fun trips! It does sound like you were very brave! I used to be very shy - scared of everything! It took me about 4 years with my family before I was comfortable with other dogs, people, going outside, etc.

    Your pal, Pip

  12. I'm glad you had a wonderful time!

My Shiver is very shy too. He hides behind me anytime someone comes over. I've tried to socialize him but it didn't seem to help so I didn't keep up on it like I should've. Chico is really outgoing though. He loves to sit on my visitor's laps and get lots of loves.

Only 9 more days for the new BBT! Yay!!! Can't wait.

  13. Hi, Zona! Gosh, I missed you an awful lot on my vacation! I'm glad we're both back.

Firstly, I just want to say that that looks like a wild and crazy (and fun) place! Did your momma eat the Phoenix burger? BOL! Oh, and that was an awfully pretty brindle doggie that was there. Wouldn't that have been funny if it was me? But it wasn't. Darn it!

Nextly, I just want to tell you how PROUD I am of you for being so brave. That was a very, very big deal - I know! My mom's always saying that one of the gifts of having a shy dog like me is that it makes her appreciate and be thankful for and celebrate the tiniest little things. Things that other peoples wouldn't think twice about. Sometimes I surprise my mom by doing something that seems so tiny to others but makes her want to just burst. I bet it's the same way with your momma, huh?

    Mayzie

  15. Being brave is a big deal. We went to a new daycare place this weekend and the lady there said our actions were due to anxiety. So while we aren't super shy we don't always like new stuff. Congrats!
