The One with Bees and Frogs

Papa was ATTACKED today! This frog jumped right out of the po--- okay, no one is going to believe that. He was pulling weeds and disturbed a nest of yellow jackets! He was stung on his hand...

And then when he turned around - the back of his leg too! Somehow... this happened....

And then this happened...

Remember The Boarder? He's still hanging out with the ducks. Mom says he probably can't get out but when she has tried to catch him to put him in the big pond, he dives under the water and mom said no way is she going in there!

The weather was cooler today so I got to play zoomies for awhile. It's great to be outside!

  1. Sooooo sorry that your dad was attacked by bees. OUCH!!! I think the boarder likes it there. The rent must be good.
It was cool here today, too. AC off for the furst time since July 2nd.. THAT is an all time record for us. I got to dig and do zoomies and chase 3 rabbits... after the GUY and the canning. WHEW am I ever tired.
You have Queen Ann's Lace too??? I dig it up. Mom says I can.
I'll be sure to talk a LOT about you to Sarge this weekend.

  2. I'm sorry your daddy got attacked! I'm allergic to bee and wasp stings.

I'm glad you got to go out and get some fresh air without having to worry about getting heatstroke! We've been forecasted for thunderstorms this week. There's lots of clouds in the sky but it doesn't seem to have cooled down much today.

  6. That stinks that your dad got stung - we hope he is ok. And that they don't come back and do it again.

And it is great that it got cooler so you could do zoomies - we do it in the house but since we don't get to go outside, we have to live though you guys who get to - we bet you had a ton of fun!!

  7. It was a lot nicer today, wasn't it. I'm glad you got out. Do you know what we did? We had a visit from the vet. Shots, extreme ear cleaning and other indignities. But I'm not bitter. Well, maybe a little.

    lotsa licks, Lola

  8. Gosh, I'm very much glad your Papa is okay. Those yellow jackets can be skeery! You'd think bugs that dress in jackets would be more cordial.

And yay for ZOOMIES! They're just the best!

  9. I'm glad your dad's attack wasn't any worse than that! I think your version of the story would have been interesting, though!

We had a short break in the weather here, too, and we took advantage of it tonight!

  18. Poor Dad - those yellow jackets are nasty. Our old girl Dakota got stung a few times on her snooter and she swelled all up. Hope Dad's hand and leg aren't too sore.

  20. Hey Zona!
Sorry about the bee...they're the worst. I bite at them, but so far no luck catching them. Mom says that's a good thing...sorta like me not catching any more porcupines. Oh well. Hey, your pix are great! You running looks like fun! See you soon.
