The One After Three Days

I'm back from my unplanned-hiatus! Mom had some things going on these last few days and I needed to be sure to supervise. You know how it is with our two-leggers!

I have so much business to take care of! The two-leggers both worked at the office today so it was pretty much a day of watching my nemesis and his friends eat the plums. My doe came by today too. I don't mind her as much - she brings nice smells.

But mom was working remotely yesterday so Cali spent the morning, as she usually does, catching up with her ducks.

I went to the mailbox with mom and the most amazing things happened!! I GOT MAIL!

My furend Mayzie sent me a card!

Isn't she thoughtful?

She has the most beautiful brindle furs.

After reading her sweet message on the back, I hung her card on the fridge so we could all admire her.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the kitchen.... this happened.

Mom broke the second of three Delirium glasses. That means she's down to ONE. The horror! She even said a bad word which NEVER happens! I guess she'll have to order a backup online and take her chances with the etched elephant.

Phoenix insists she had nothing to do with it.

On a serious note, please go visit my furend Mona's bloggie.

Her mom is helping Sweet Shelby get better. From her injuries, they suspect she was a bait dog. Some two-leggers are disgusting. And yet, despite all of this, they say she's a real sweetie. She has every right to be mean and distrustful but we pups are amazing. And so are most two leggers, like Mona's mom and Sandra!! Some anipals have decided we should collect prayers and green papers to help!

  12. Isn't Mayzie sweet to send you a card?

Watch that broken glass - that would be bad, and I doubt Phoenix had anything to do with it. :)

  13. Wowweee! Mayzie is such a thoughtful furiend to send a postcard to you! My mom says that humans should go back to writing letters to each other instead of e-mailing because sometimes her computer messes things up and then she says some R-Rated words to the screen!
Anyway, I want to thank you fur signing the Mr. Linky thingy on my mom's new THANKFUL FUR THREE blog post today! My mom wondered if the Linky guy worked and now (thanks to you) my mom can stop getting mad at the 'puter. The THANKFUL FUR THREE thingy is FUR EVERYONE, not just for newbies. It's sorta like a blog hop except my mom's not as organized as the Life With Dogs lady!

  16. Hi Zona! That is so cool that you got mail from Mayzie - we love her! You are right that she does have a beautiful brindle coat! Actualy we think that is where we learned that it was called brindle. And we can tell from the pictures that you really liked getting it.

It is too bad your mom's glass broke - we hope she can find one online (we had to go to the other post to find what it was - wow the most stolen glass is pretty funny to think about!)

And oh, poor Shelby - we have been following her at Mona's and at kissa-bull. It makes us so sad and so angry that people do those things that happened to her. But she is in a wonderful place now where they will take great care of her.

  19. Isn't it nice to get mail from our friends? We like how your Mom posted it on the fridge for you to look at. We also liked your story about the tree rat eating the plums. We have a big plum tree in our front yard and the squirrel brings the plums onto the porch to eat them. Then he leaves the pits on the porch for Mom to clean up. She's getting pretty mad at him.
